Queen Elizabeth Announces New titles Of Prince William And Kate Middleton


The Queen Elizabeth II has announced the new titles which await Prince William and Kate Middleton once they are married, the couple will be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The couple will exchange vows in a lavish wedding at London's Westminster Abbey on Friday and the ceremony will mark Middleton's official induction to royal family.

Both William and his bride will be given titles from the Queen once they are wed, and just hours before the nuptials, Her Majesty confirmed her grandson will become the Duke of Cambridge, as well as holding the titles of Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.

Kate Middleton will be known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

A statement from issued by the press secretary to the Queen, reads, The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince William of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.


The Prince William thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge and Miss Catherine Middleton on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.
