And the Oscar for the Best Beauty Queen goes to: Miss England turns golden girl to recreate Academy Award

There may not be a prize for the most beautiful girl at the Academy Awards.

But hasn't stopped Miss England getting in on the Oscars excitement and gong a little crazy with the gold paint.

Jessica Linley put her statuesque figure to good use as she posed as the famous Oscar figurine a few days before the biggest event on the showbiz calendar.

Sprayed head to toe in gold paint, the 21-year-old looked amazing as the Academy Award statuette, holding the pose perfectly still.

She took part in the shoot to promote for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, which has launched a film-themed fundraising campaign ahead of the Oscars on Sunday.

'At the Movies’ campaign wants people to hold film-themed fundraisers including holding screenings and charging friends to come along, holding a glamorous premier or Oscar party, forming a film club or even having a ‘Dress like a star’ day at work.

Jessica said: 'I am delighted to support the work of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and had so much fun doing the shoot. I loved the gold paint and even took some home so I can become an Oscar again.

'I hope people will follow my lead and organise fabulous film parties to raise money for the charity.'

Jessica, a law student from Nottingham, was crowned Miss England in September last year at the annual beauty pageant, which took place in Birmingham.

She beat off fierce competition from 60 other hopefuls to take the crown before going on to represent England at the Miss World contest in China the following month.

But earlier this month, the beauty moaned that she was still single since winning the competition and wasn't looking forward to Valentine's Day.

She said: '‘I’m tall, which may intimidate men. And now I’m Miss England they may think they’ve no chance.

‘I never have any cards now – just one from Mum, bless her.’

However, since her revelation, she has been bombarded by Valentines Day offers and flooded with cards, emails, Facebook comments, Tweets and even balloons, chocolate and flowers from all over the world.
