Reese Witherspoon Won't Press Charges Against The Woman Who Struck Her With Car

Avid runner Reese Witherspoon reportedly won't press charges against the woman who accidentally struck her with her car on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old actress was rushed to the hospital after being hit by the vehicle while she was jogging in Santa Monica, CA.

Reese Witherspoon's representative later confirmed that the star was 'resting comfortably at home' after being treated for minor injuries.

A source close to Witherspoon has revealed that she doesn't plan to take legal action against the 84-year-old driver who struck her.

The insider told Us Weekly, 'The incident is being treated as an accident. The driver was not given an alcohol test at the accident scene and typically she would receive a fine and a point on her driving licence as it is considered a moving violation'.

Reese Witherspoon reportedly only sustained a gash on her forehead in the collision.

The oscar-winning actress will next star with Chris Pine and Tom Hardy in This Means War, which opens on February 17, 2012 in the US and the UK.
