Kristen Wiig Gets Green Lit For Her Passion Project 'Imogene'


Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig had been given the green light for her new dark comedy titled 'Imogene' a movie she calls her 'passion project'.

Kristen Wiig plays 'a moderately successful New York playwright who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to end up being forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother, in the movie.

The 'Imogene' is being produced by Anonymous Content and Maven Pictures and will begin shooting in New York City on August 8. The movie was written by Michelle Morgan and is being overseen by Shari Berman and Robert Pulcini.

Actress Wiig has recently appeared in Bridesmaids which she co-wrote with friend Annie Mumolo and which took in more than $150 million, she has also had parts in MacGruber, Adventureland, Paul and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.

Kristen Wiig can next be seen in 'Friends with Kids' alongside Megan Fox, Maya Rudolph and Jon Hamm.
